What is zinc oxide sunscreen?
Sunscreen that uses zinc oxide, a mineral, as an active ingredient. In our Pure Zinc creams, 25% non-nano zinc oxide is the only active ingredient. Our zinc sticks and lotions pair zinc oxide with other sunscreen filters.
Cream or stick: which do I need?
Usually both. Put a cream or lotion on arms, legs and body, and a zinc stick on noses, cheeks and ears, where people tend to burn first.
Which products are water resistant?
Our zinc sticks, Ultra Clear, Extreme Zinc Lotion and Sports Mesh are 4 hours water resistant. For our Pure Zinc creams, check the label. Whatever the label says, reapply after swimming, sweating or towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.
Can children use Sun Zapper?
Yes, from 6 months. Kids Pure Zinc SPF 50 is made for them. Babies under 6 months should be kept out of direct sun.
